VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Superintendent Josh Johnson said we are beginning to see some action in pre-construction at the site of the new school. The job trailer is in place, safety fenced added, and corners of the building staked. Over the next week, we will start seeing dirt getting moved by a bulldozer, trucks, and other heavy equipment. Please be attentive to trucks coming and going on 12th street over the next few weeks. We are going to do our best to limit disruptions around the site and will work with Construction Engineers to share updates and important communications with our neighbors and entire community.
He said Hanna Field will be closed to the public for construction. Over the summer, we will be installing a storm water management system for the new school and adding in artificial field turf sponsored by Essentia Health. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-August. We will be excited to re-open Hanna Field in the fall for students and community uses.
Johnson added, we will continue to send out updates periodically throughout the summer and make sure we are keeping the community informed about the project. Safety in and around the construction sites will always be a first priority for us, Construction Engineers, and all of the subcontractors on this project. If you have any questions about the project or safety related items, please don’t hesitate to contact me or our district offices at 701.845.0483 ext. 0.
