BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Spring Turkey season has been set and the North Dakota Game & Fish Department is offering around the same amount of licenses as last year.

The department reports that 5,655 wild turkey licenses have been set for the spring hunting season, 30 less than last year. The department reports that paper applications are no longer available for spring turkey or any other lottery licenses including moose, elk and sheep, deer gun, pronghorn, and swan.

Game & Fish Outreach Biologist Doug Leier.

Successful spring turkey applicants must purchase a 2018-19 hunting license. In addition to the spring turkey license, hunters must have a fishing, hunting and furbearer certificate, and a general game and habitat license. Also, hunters ages 16 and older must possess a small game license, or combination license.

The season starts April 14th and runs through May 20th. Find more at gf.nd.gov.
