
JAMESTOWN – Maddie Hoff is making some impression.
The top pitcher for Jamestown Blue Jays Softball pitched her second no-hitter of the season Tuesday in a 10-0 win over Century in the first game of a doubleheader at Trapper Lawrence Field. Jamestown completed the sweep with an 11-4 victory in game two.
Game 1: Jamestown 10, Century 0 (5)
Hoff (5-3) struck out struck out nine batters and walked two. She also hit a solo home run for Jamestown (8-7, 5-6 WDA). Hoff’s first no-hitter came April 2 in a 20-0 win over Minot.
Megan Jarrett and Avery Graves drove in two runs each. Bryn Sorenson assured the game would have an early finish with a two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth.
Game 2: Jamestown 11, Century 4
Brooke Jackson doubled, homered and drove in three for Jamestown (9-7, 6-6 WDA) to back the pitching of Morgan Scott.
Sorenson homered again. Avery Graves hit her third home run in four games. Jamestown led 8-2 through two innings.
Scott (4-3) struck out three in five innings.
The Blue Jays will play a doubleheader Thursday at Minot North.
