N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The state of North Dakota has been ranked as the 11th best state in the U.S. for Military Retirees.

According to WalletHub.com, the average officer is only 45 years old when they retire and enlisted personnel are even younger at about 41 years of age. Wallethub looked at Economic Environment, Quality of Life and Health Care to support their findings. North Dakota ranked 11th among other states, scoring 9th in Economic Environment Rank, 25th in Quality of Life and 12th in Health Care. North Dakota also has the 4th highest number of VA Health Facilities, having 1.78 facilities per 10,000 Veterans.

Wyoming ranked as 1st overall. Montana was 3rd, South Dakota was 4th and coming in last was the state of California.
