N.D. (AP) – Missouri River flood victims gave the Army
Corps of Engineers an earful last night in Bismarck. Critics
complained that a new river management plan shows the corps hasn’t
learned much from this year’s flooding. More than 250 people
attended last night’s hearing.
ROLLA, N.D. (AP) – A crash in Rolette County has claimed two
lives. Authorities say the victims are a 33-year-old man and a
32-year-old woman from Belcourt. They were thrown from a vehicle
when it went out of control on a gravel road and rolled several
times.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Governor Jack Dalrymple continues his
election campaign kickoff today with stops in Jamestown, Devils
Lake, Williston and Dickinson. He started yesterday in Fargo, Grand
Forks, Minot and Bismarck.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota is 122 years old. It became
the 39th state when President Benjamin Harrison signed the
proclamation admitting it into the union on November 2nd, 1889.
South Dakota also became a state that day.
