CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A woman was injured after a semi struck the car she was driving in the westbound lane of Interstate 94 in Valley City on Friday. The impact from the crash sent the vehicle into the ditch where it caught on fire.

Barnes County and Valley City fire and rescue crews responded and pulled the woman out of the car. The injured driver was transported to Mercy Hospital. The condition of the woman has not been released.
