N.D. (AP) – Four men from North Carolina died last
night during a head-on crash with a semitrailer near Drake, in
north-central North Dakota. Investigators say the men were in an
SUV that was trying to pass another vehicle when hit the semi. The
truck driver wasn’t hurt.    
    
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – A convicted child molester who’s accused of
pulling out a gun in a western North Dakota courtroom is due in
court this afternoon in Fargo. Vicente Chacano
 faces 14 counts of attempted murder.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – Canada geese hunting in North Dakota will
close tomorrow in most of the state. Hunting in the Missouri River
Zone along the river from Lake Sakakawea to the South Dakota border
will be allowed through December 30th.
     
MINOT, N.D. (AP) – A coalition of utility companies, nonprofit
groups and public officials is working to help Minot residents keep
their energy bills down following this year’s major flooding along
the Souris River. A flood recovery coordinator says Minot
homeowners are likely to experience higher energy bills this
winter, since so many people are living in temporary housing or are
living with family and friends.
