City, N.D. – Acting Police Chief Mark McDonald says the city promoted officer Dana Rustebakke to Sergeant on November 17.

Rustebakke has been with the Valley City police department for 6 years and prior to that he served as a deputy with the Eddy County Sheriff’s Office.

McDonald says the city commission approved of the creation of a fourth police Sergeant position for the department unanimously during their November 21 meeting.
