(NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol made 12 DUI arrests during a saturation patrol in Barnes, Cass, Traill and Richland counties on Friday and Saturday.

Sergeant Josh Rude said in a statement that the patrol also issued 235 traffic citations, issued 134 warnings, and made 23 other arrests during the two-day event.

Extra troopers were out on the roads in an effort to deter, detect and arrest alcohol impaired drivers.
