City, N. D. – Former Valley City resident David Schelkoph has accepted an offer to become the next City Administrator. Schelkoph says he’s excited about coming back to Valley City to start his new job.
Valley City Mayor Bob Werkhoven says he and other city officials believe Schelkoph will be a great asset to the community.
Schelkoph a 1978 graduate of Valley City high school and an electrical engineering graduate of NDSU in Fargo served 8 years in the Air Force. He currently is working for Killdeer Mountain manufacturing in Dickinson.

He and his wife Renee have three grown children. Schelkoph expects to start the new job in late January.
The Valley City commission will vote to approved the appointment during their January 3 regular meeting in Valley City.
